Current Roles
Dr. Emily Lesnak is a clinical resident at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, where she supervises student physicians in the Department of Naturopathic Medicine. She also sees patients in private practice in Practitioner Care at Bastyr Center.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Lesnak's clinical interests include family medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, autoimmune disease, diabetes, cardiovascular issues and gastrointestinal medicine. She is also interested in homeopathy, craniosacral therapy and botanical medicine.
Healing Philosophy
Dr. Lesnak empowers patients to take part in their healing process by educating them about their bodies and working with them to develop a treatment plan that meets them where they are. When working with patients, she begins with the foundations of health, including diet, lifestyle and stress management.
Past Experience
Dr. Lesnak previously worked as a teaching assistant in the Clinical Laboratory, Physical Clinical Diagnosis, and Gross Anatomy courses at Bastyr University. She completed more than 900 hours of clinical training while earning her doctor of naturopathic medicine degree. During this time, she completed rotations at Seattle Children’s Hospital, the EvergreenHealth Emergency Room, and private pediatric and women’s health practices.
Dr. Lesnak also completed training in homeopathy through the New England School of Homeopathy and craniosacral therapy through Vital Integrative Systems. She has also studied public health in South Africa.
