Emily Palmer, ND
Current Roles
Dr. Palmer is a first-year resident at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, where she supervises student clinicians in Team Care and sees patients in Practitioner Care.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Palmer has a variety of clinical interests including women’s health, diabetes, chronic disease, digestive health, integrative medicine and working with under-served populations. She utilizes a variety of modalities in her treatment plan including nutrition, herbal medicine and hands-on therapies.

"I am dedicated to helping you restore health and well being in your life. In order to achieve this goal, I will listen to your story and work with you to make a treatment plan that is unique to you. I believe that knowledge is a powerful tool and that by helping people understand the role of nutrition, lifestyle and overall well-being, people can make positive changes in their lives. I am committed to advancing the integration of modern medicine by bringing together the best of science and nature, while never losing sight of an individual person. I treat people, rather than diseases. I am interested in working with people to optimize health from the ground up while working with a variety of tools. I enjoy working with people who have chronic conditions as well as creating long term health goals."
Past Experience
Prior to starting school at Bastyr, Dr. Palmer worked as a wildland firefighter and ski patroller. During this time, she was also working as an EMT for both of these jobs.
Education & Affiliations
Dr. Palmer received her ND from Bastyr University, Her LMT from Bellevue Massage School and her BS in Human Biology from Chadron State College in Nebraska. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Natural Doctors International.
