Current Roles
Dr. Yu is a clinical faculty member and second-year resident at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, supervising students in the School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Yu's clinical interests include oncology, the immune system, the gastrointestinal system, musculoskeletal pain, women’s health and psychological disorders.
Healing Philosophy
Dr. Yu says of her healing philosophy, "When I am working with patients, I focus on the restoration of balance for each patient. Chinese medical principles articulate the importance of harmony in our lives: the harmony of yin and yang and the harmony of the cycles of life. Health and wellness is a state of harmony."
Past Experience
Dr. Yu has completed internships at Dong Zhi Men Hospital in Beijing, Seattle Cancer and Wellness Center, Skagit Valley Hospital, Highline Hospital and Bastyr Center for Natural Health. She has been in practice for 14 years and has authored numerous articles.
Education
Dr. Yu received her doctorate degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine from Bastyr University, her traditional Chinese medical degree from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology and a bachelor's degree in musicology from the Xi’an Conservatory of Music.
