Current Roles

Dr. Liu is a faculty member at both Bastyr Center for Natural Health and Bastyr University. He also sees patients in private practice in Seattle.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Liu’s clinical interests include acupuncture; the restoration and channeling of qi; and qigong and herbal treatment for pain, gynecological, pediatric and psychological disorders.

Past Experience

Prior to working at Bastyr, Dr. Liu served as a resident at the teaching hospitals of Luzhou Medical School and Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine in China. He also worked as medical consultant for two years in Europe.

Education

Dr. Liu received a master's degree in 1982 from Luzhou Medical School in China. In 1985 he received a master’s degree in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine from Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine in Sichuan, China.
