Christy Lee-Engel, ND, LAc Dr. Lee-Engel supervises one of the dual Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine shifts at Bastyr Center for Natural Health. She has been an adjunct faculty member in the Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine since 1996 and was assistant dean of that school for two years. Dr. Lee-Engel has worked in private practice since 1995 and is co-founder and staff physician in integrative medicine/collaborative care practice at One Sky Wellness in Seattle. Dr. Lee-Engel’s healing perspective is influenced by the philosophy that “All Sickness is Homesickness” (the topic and title of a book by Dianne Connelly, LAc): Whole-person, whole-life medicine works by restoring our sense of being “at home in our own skin,” and in this world, and in our own lives. Her therapeutic approach blends Western and classical Chinese botanical (herbal) medicine with dietary and digestive support, acupuncture and Acutonics™ (which uses sound and vibration instead of acupuncture needles), relaxation and restoration practices, the easing of the stress response, and gentle on-going coaching in healthy lifestyle and attitudinal choices/changes. Dr. Lee-Engel earned a MAc from Bastyr University, a ND with a specialty in counseling from John Bastyr College and a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz.
