| Wheat-Free Apple Blackberry Crisp If your sweet tooth is calling for dessert, consider making one that contains fruit. This crisp uses spelt flour for those reducing the wheat in their diet due to sensitivities (it is not gluten-free). One serving provides over 9 grams of fiber, making it a high-fiber dessert! - 1 quart fresh blackberries
- 1 quart fresh apple slices
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup minute tapioca
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
Mix all ingredients and place evenly in a 9"x13" baking pan. Crisp topping - 2 cup oatmeal
- 2 cup brown sugar
- 2 cup unbleached spelt flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 pound butter (melted) or use equivalent amount of soy margarine for vegan crisp
