Mental attitudes and emotions are important elements in overall health and should be considered when treating illness and disease. Our counseling department offers support for those dealing with depression, fatigue, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), work-related stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and health problems, particularly chronic health problems. If lifestyle changes have been suggested as part of your treatment in other departments at Bastyr Center, counseling can be a valuable support.
Our clinic is ideally suited to provide short-term treatment (typically no more than 12 sessions). Appointments are generally scheduled on a weekly basis. Student clinicians, closely supervised by a licensed mental health professional, oversee the sessions, and refer to outside services when appropriate.
Counseling visits cost $15 from July 1 to August 30, 2014. Learn more »
